Dragons and Damsels

These are the first I have seen this year.

Four-spotted Chaser

Large Red Damselfly

Banded Demoiselles are not easy to get close to and I will need to improve these shots I have taken so far.

  1. HI Roy Improve those shots, you say!! I think they are wonderful. If only I could get anywhere near one and then for it ti sit still for me, that would be a miracle. Don't down yourself so much. Margaret

  2. Oh, Roy, these pictures make my heart sing!! Just beautiful! I had a Four-spotted Skimmer on my property just the other mornng. Sadly, he didn't pose so nicely for me and my pictures aren't sharable!! I was pretty excited, none-the-less!

  4. I don't think I would complain too much bearing in mind how flighty the Demoiselles can be. Excellent shots Roy.

The Red on the buttercup is very showy, but the Banded with those outstanding shades of blue and green is a beauty!!
