Comma in the Sun

I found another Comma Butterfly (Polygonia c-album) braving the elements of this still fairly cold period of Spring. I doubt that the temperature, even with the sun shining, was no more than 11 Celsius at the time. This one was in pretty good condition considering it has been hibernating through our Winter.

  8. That Comma had survived well. Amazing that such delicate creatures can survive cold, wind and rain through the Winter.
