Brown and Purple

Although the colours of a Dunnock, Reed Bunting and Crocus flower don't exactly go together, but they were taken on the same walk so I thought them worthy of a post.

  2. The purple crocus colour is really not a natural shade at all when seen in that context!

  4. Lovely mix of birds and blooms Roy! I have never seen these birds. I wish we had more bulbs coming out, right now it is still snowing off and on! Your camera and lens seem to be working very well for those good close ups...it looks effortless now!

  5. Lovely set of pictures Roy:) I love the Dunnock, I have a few in my garden. I like the change of layout of your blog. I have scrolled through your previous posts, the pictures of the Treecreeper are lovely, I have seen this bird in my garden during the winter months a few times along with the Goldcrest who is still around at the moment.

  6. I think Dunnocks often seem to be neglected or ignored as 'common' birds. I love watching them and listening to their song.

    1. They are amazing with the antics they get up to John and the pattern of their plumage is intricate.
